Welcome!

Austin farmers markets are held all year long around the city, rain or shine. The common goal of farmers markets is to unite farmers and consumers with local products and services. Farmers markets also serve to educate the community about the origin of the products they buy and the processes farmers use to bring their products to the marketplace. Purchasing locally grown foods from farmers markets supports the concept of sustainability, which is an important concept considering the issues facing modern-day society.

There are three main locations that are sponsored by the Sustainable Food Center:

There is also the HOPE Farmers Market held on the east side of Austin every Sunday from 11am-3pm. The HOPE Farmers Market not only provides food and services, but live local music is featured.
